GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Accountant to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.
The ideal candidate should hold a Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Candidates should have a sound knowledge of fundamental accounting and financial reporting practices. Familiarity with Shireburn and Xero is considered an asset, along with the ability and willingness to learn and use additional accounting and payroll software as needed.
One must have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
Fluency in both Maltese and English is essential, together with proficient use of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities
- Supporting clients with day-to-day operations and liaising with clients and third parties.
- Coordinating with local authorities and assisting with corporate and banking matters.
- Supporting clients with compliance requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, accounting records, and payroll reports.
- Updating financial data and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Preparing weekly and monthly financial reports and supporting management reporting.
- Processing monthly payroll and handling related administrative requirements.
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Liaising with external auditors and supporting client audit engagements.
- Assisting Directors with general accounting and finance-related duties.
