GCS Malta is seeking a Senior Finance & Compliance Manager to work with one of Malta’s leading group of companies. The Manager will be reporting directly to the CFO. 
 

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining internal financial controls, reporting systems, and accounting procedures.
• Monitoring compliance, strengthening controls, and addressing identified risks or deficiencies.
• Coordinating statutory audits, external advisors, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to management and external stakeholders.
• Developing tax strategies, managing tax activities, and identifying opportunities for tax optimisation.
• Managing treasury activities, including cash flow, banking relationships, investments, and foreign exchange exposure.
• Monitoring credit risks, financing arrangements, and cash and bank reconciliations.
• Overseeing project accounting, budgets, costs, and financial performance against approved forecasts.
• Leading finance and compliance teams, allocating responsibilities, and supporting staff development.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Accountancy, B.Com (Hons) in Accountancy, or ACCA qualification, with Chartered Accountant status required, alongside extensive experience including at least five years in a Finance Manager role, preferably within the FMCG sector.

This role requires strong knowledge of financial management, accounting, compliance, risk, taxation, and profitability analysis.

One must demonstrate strong team leadership, strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and change management skills.
