GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer to work with a local public agency.
The ideal candidate should hold either an MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science with at least four years of relevant professional experience, or an MQF Level 5 qualification in Computer Science with at least five years of relevant professional experience.
Applicants should have experience in IT infrastructure management, including LAN/WAN, storage and backup, Active Directory, and Windows systems, with strong knowledge of IP networks, network optimisation, and technical troubleshooting.
This role requires strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English are essential.

- Managing daily network and security operations.
- Coordinating IT projects and system upgrades.
- Ensuring ISO 27001:2022 compliance and service quality.
- Providing technical support, guidance, and user training.
- Managing servers, networks, databases, and Microsoft 365.
- Administering user accounts, access permissions, and backups.
- Monitoring system performance, security, and availability.
- Maintaining IT and security documentation.
- Coordinating third-party suppliers and technical services.
- Supporting IT procurement and supplier management.
- Identifying improvements to IT systems and processes.
- Planning and coordinating information security activities.
