GCS Malta is seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to join a leading IT services provider in Malta. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.
Relevant Palo Alto, Fortinet, or other network certifications would be considered an asset, while hands-on experience in network and security engineering, including managing changes and migrations, is essential.
This role requires strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, wireless networks, and network security.
Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to lead complex fault investigations, work methodically under pressure, and document effective technical resolutions.
Fluency in both Maltese and English is essential, together with a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities
- Managing enterprise firewalls and network infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting complex network and security issues.
- Managing LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and wireless networks.
- Implementing network upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Improving network security, resilience, and access controls.
- Collaborating with technical teams and supporting knowledge sharing.
- Maintaining network configurations and technical documentation.
- Managing client and vendor technical communications.
- Supporting network projects and technical implementations.
