Financial Controller (MEP & Maintenance)

GCS Malta is looking for a Financial Controller (MEP & Maintenance) to work with leading contracting company in Malta. 
 

Responsibilities

• Managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Monitoring cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
• Controlling project costs, margins, CTC, and WIP.
• Overseeing job costing, procurement, and profitability.
• Managing collections, payments, and banking facilities.
• Ensuring financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Improving financial processes and internal controls.
• Leading the finance team and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional qualification such as ACCA preferred. A minimum of seven years’ experience in financial management is required, including at least three years within the MEP or construction industry.
 
This role requires expertise in tax, auditing, regulatory compliance, and revenue recognition for contracting businesses using the cost-to-cost and percentage-of-completion methods.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel modelling is essential.
