GCS Malta is seeking a Sous Chef to join one of Malta’s 4* Hotel. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Chefs to develop and implement restaurant menus.
  • Innovating dishes and design plate presentations.
  • Maintaining high standards for cuisine quality.
  • Assisting in purchasing and scheduling planning.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Supervising daily food production with hands-on oversight.
  • Demonstrating mastery of cooking techniques such as sautéing, braising, poaching, grilling, frying, and steaming.
  • Efficiently meeting restaurant clients' deadlines and demands.
  • Verifying consistency in production across all meal periods.


The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in a Mediterranean or Italian restaurant whilst a culinary school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques and good command of English is required.
