Field Support Technician

GCS Malta is looking to hire a Field Service Technician for one of Malta's top distribution companies.

 

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning new equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Providing preventive maintenance and support on assigned equipment.
• Conducting routine inspections to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborating with teams to resolve complex issues.
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment or system issues.
• Offering technical support and training to clients.
• Managing inventory for fieldwork.
• Assisting with fault finding and problem-solving.
• Responding to after-hour calls during on-call shifts.
• Attending to maintenance requests during on-call periods.
• Performing additional tasks as assigned.

 

The ideal candidate should hold an MQF Level 5 – BTEC Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.

Familiarity with IT concepts and applications is a plus, along with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving license is also essential.
