GCS Malta is looking for a Fintech Advisor to work with a leading firm in Malta.
The ideal candidate should hold a law degree, with qualification as a Maltese lawyer considered an advantage, although experienced regulatory advisors are also encouraged to apply. A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in financial services or legal advisory work is required.
This role requires experience with DORA and/or ICT regulatory frameworks (not essential) and a strong understanding of EU financial services regulation, including interaction with the Malta Financial Services Authority.
Strong drafting, analytical, and organisational skills, with a methodical approach to regulatory work is essential. Candidates should be able to work independently and within a team and have excellent English; knowledge of Maltese is an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Advising clients on Maltese and EU financial services regulations across investment firms, funds, financial institutions, and crypto-asset service providers.
- Assisting with structuring operational setups and MFSA authorisation processes.
- Supporting ongoing regulatory compliance, including drafting and reviewing policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory submissions.
- Advising on technology-related regulatory requirements, including ICT risk, outsourcing, and third-party arrangements.
- Monitoring regulatory developments in fintech, regtech, and digital resilience, and contributing to legal updates and internal knowledge sharing.
